College and University Involvement

Since its inception in 2000, the CATIC Foundation has continued to promote and advance the practice of real estate law in various ways. In this regard, the CATIC Foundation has financially supported education and training programs, conferences, symposiums, and scholarship awards (i.e., Prize Day Awards) for both paralegal students and law school students enrolled in colleges and universities across the New England region.

The CATIC Foundation has endowed several annual scholarship awards, including:

  1. The L. Stewart Bohan CATIC Foundation Scholarship Fund (University of Connecticut Law School)
  2. CATIC Kay Parker Jex ’74 Memorial Scholarship Fund (St. John’s School of Law)
  3. The Robert Carey, Jr. JD ’76 CATIC Foundation Real Property Law Award (University of Connecticut Law School)

Each of these endowed scholarships are named as such to recognize and memorialize the many contributions of founding CATIC Foundation board members.
