• Within 72 hours of order placement, CATICTrac will inform you if a CATICTrac HELOC Protection Policy is an option.
• The fee for the CATICTrac HELOC Protection Policy is paid for by the borrower.
• The CATICTrac title curative service can be used to clear an old lien without the purchase of a CATICTrac HELOC Protection Policy. However, the policy cannot be issued unless CATICTrac has been retained to clear the lien.
• You will be protected against any damages from the lien that CATICTrac has been retained to clear.
• The issuance of the policy does not stop the lien clearing process. CATICTrac will continue to pursue the appropriate document to clear the lien from title.

How It Works:

1. When an unreleased lien is found on title, contact CATICTrac.
2. CATICTrac will review the file and inform you if we are able to issue a CATICTrac HELOC Protection Policy.*
3. If a policy cannot be issued, you may continue to retain CATICTrac to clear the lien.
